+ DEATH OF A PRIEST
Reverend John Patrick McHugh, Class of 1992, died Friday, September 25, 2020. We extend our deepest sympathy to Fr. McHugh’s family and friends at this time of loss and offer them our prayerful support.
• The Most Reverend Leonard P. Blair will be the principal celebrant of the Mass of Christian Burial at the Chapel of the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center, 467 Bloomfield Avenue, Bloomfield, on Friday, October 2, 2020, at 11:00 AM.
• Burial will follow the Mass at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.
• The Funeral Mass will be extremely limited given current state and Archdiocesan restrictions and will in large part offer his brother priests living at the Pastoral Center (where he recently resided prior to his death) the chance to pray for his repose.

In 2020, the Church will celebrate Catechetical Sunday on September 20, 2020, under the theme of “I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you.”
This year the religious education classes will look different but the children and families will still receive the same quality of faith formation.
